The hydropowered operating machine-generator unit has a centrifugal pump (1) operated as a turbine which drives a transmission shaft (2) via which a working machine (3) or machines and a synchronous generator (4) with an electronic load regulator are driven. A coupling can be arranged in the transmission shaft after the turbine and before the drive for the working machine. A coupling (6) can be arranged between the transmission shaft and the synchronous generator. Surplus energy is passed via the load regulator to a load as electrical energy.
