PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hollow fiber having excellent lightweight properties, prevention of see-through clothing, swelling feeling, soft feeling, or the like, and a fiber structure comprising the fiber. SOLUTION: A fiber structure comprising a sea-island conjugate fiber composed of a thermoplastic polymer having >2% equilibrium moisture regain as a sea component and a water-soluble thermoplastic polyvinyl alcohol-based polymer as an island component is treated with water and at least a part of the water-soluble thermoplastic polyvinyl alcohol-based polymer is dissolved and removed from the conjugate fiber.
