A system and a method for providing plural information channel services by using a messenger protocol are provided to offer the plural information channel services to receiving terminals by using a messenger program, a messenger server, and the messenger protocol which are used generally, thereby enabling an information provider to have no need to construct a separate system and enabling an information receiver to receive various information channel services through an existing messenger program. A messenger server(200) allocates a messenger ID to each of plural users and provides a messenger service intermediating a text or an attachment between terminals on the basis of the messenger ID. A transmitting terminal(300) includes a messenger program for receiving the messenger service from the messenger server and transmits the text or the attachment to other terminals. A receiving terminal(100) includes the messenger program for receiving the messenger service from the messenger server and receives the text or the attachment from the transmitting terminal. The receiving terminal includes an information extraction/division unit. The information extraction/division unit determines plural information providing applications and an information providing application as a designated application, and provides the text or the attachment to the designated application when the text or the attachment is received from the transmitting terminal and there is the designated application in the messenger ID or messenger nickname of the transmitting terminal. |
