PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery with a lead terminal allowing to weld the lead terminal having no adverse influence on battery inside active materials. SOLUTION: In this battery with the lead terminal for welding the lead terminal connected to an external circuit to the battery, a welding position of the lead terminal to the battery is at a peripheral part of a battery case or a battery lid avoiding a part incorporating with the positive electrode and negative electrode active materials, and has no influence on the inside active materials. Thus, output can be increased by about 30% more than conventional output, welding failure can be reduced, and welding strength can be stabilized.
