PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a transmission side filter and a reception side filter in one chip, and to ensure the isolation of the both filters in a necessary level in a surface acoustic wave branching filter. SOLUTION: In this surface acoustic wave branching filter, a transmission side filter and a reception side filter whose pass bands are different are arranged on one piezoelectric substrate, and resonator electrodes 12 and 13 whose resonance frequencies are adjacent are arranged at the both edges of the substrate so as to be isolated from each other.
