<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process cartridge such that dirt sticking on its surface can easily be removed and an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: In a printer, the process cartridge is detachably arranged which comprises a photoreceptor cartridge 3 and a developing cartridge 4. A rib 30e increasing rigidity is provided on a side wall 30c of a case 30c as a housing of the photoreceptor cartridge 3. The rib 30e is shaped by arranging two vertically extending ribs 30e1 and two laterally extending ribs 30e2 in a lattice shape. A sectional shape of a rib 30e1 consists of a curved surface 30e4 connecting a plate-shaped tip part 30e3, a tip part 30e3, and a smooth side wall 30c. The ratio of the height h1 of an upper end 30e4 of the curved surface part 30e4 and the total height h2 of the rib 30e1 is 1:3. Further, the curvature of the curved surface part 30e4 is 2 mm.
