PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information distribution system which can enhance convenience markedly, and to provide an information distribution method and a receiver for use therein. SOLUTION: An information distribution system comprises a wireless base station for distributing information unique to an in-charge communication area, and an identification code for identifying the fact that the information is distributed, and a receiver for receiving the information based on the identification code distributed from the wireless base station when the receiver enters the communication area, wherein the receiver has a means for determining the effectiveness of received information based on a predetermined criterion, and a means which deletes such information as determination is made that the effectiveness is low by the determination means, and the determination means removes information desired by a user from objects of deletion.
