PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for easily associating token information acquired from a web service server with authentication information of a user.SOLUTION: An authentication server manages authentication of an image forming apparatus in order to associate token information formed of an access token and a refresh token with user information for authenticating the image forming apparatus. When the token information is transmitted from a web service server for generating the token information, the authentication server generates a card registration password. A user inputs the generated card registration password, and holds an IC card over an IC card reader, to cause the image forming apparatus to acquire a user ID of the user and card information, thereby associating the user information with the token information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
