PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the flow rate of a fluid current and to purify a gaseous mixture such as natural gas at the flow rate of several times that of the device of preceding technique having the same size. SOLUTION: With respect to the forced circulation-type hollow-fiber contactor and its contact method, a fluid to be treated is introduced into the internal cavity of a porous hollow fiber 20 from its open end with the other end closed, and the treated fluid is discharged from the open end of the adjacent or nearby hollow fiber 23 with the other end closed. The fluid to be treated is passed through the porous wall of the fiber 20 and brought into contact with a processing medium between is fibers 20 and 23 to form a treated fluid, and the treated fluid is passed through the porous wall of the fiber 23 and discharged from the contactor. Close contact with the processing medium between the fibers is guaranteed in this contactor, and the contactor is especially appropriate for the selective sorption in gas refining, gas separation, etc., and catalytic reaction. |
