PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of preventing the deterioration of image quality by completely coating the surface of a fixing roller with silicone oil and completely cleaning the surface thereof. SOLUTION: A gear 11, a driving gear 12, a fixing roller 1 and a pressure roller 3 are held in a chassis 20, and a web roll 6, a take-up roller 22, a spring 8 and a pressing roller 9 are held in a web unit 21, then a driven gear 10 is attached to the shaft 22a of the roller 22. The shaft 22a is held by a V-shaped supporting part provided in the chassis 20 through a bush 23. Thus, the unit 21 is held to freely rock with the shaft 22a as center. The chassis 20 is equipped with a guide part 20a so as to prevent the unit 21 from rotating in a direction shown by an arrow G.
