<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus having a cleaning unit by which dust, soil, and the like on hands, fingers, or each of the components and the like of the apparatus, etc., are easily and speedily cleaned off. <P>SOLUTION: A storage space of a cleaning sheet 25 is provided in part of the housing 11 of the image forming apparatus 10 such that the cleaning sheet 25 is exposed outside via an opening 24 by which the storage space and the outside communicate with each other. In particular, the cleaning unit suitably includes a rotary shaft disposed in the storage space so as to be freely detached, and a wind shaft disposed parallel to the rotary shaft. One end of the cleaning sheet 25 wound round the rotary shaft in the form of a roll is wound round the wind shaft. Part of the cleaning sheet 25 wound is exposed from the opening 24. Soiled fingers and so on are wiped with the exposed cleaning sheet 25.
