PURPOSE: To obtain better inside lighting for a vehicle by equipping a lighting element including a thin plate material having a photo-diffusive coat, being packed with electric-current-carrying material and contacting a coat emitting fluorescence by electricity; a device for generating an electric current; and a housing for the lighting element and the device. CONSTITUTION: A lighting element 10 includes a thin and narrow piece of an electrically conductive material, a coat 12 for emitting fluorescence by electricity adheres on one side surface of surfaces of the narrow piece, and an uncoated side surface limits an Anode 14. A rim of electrically conductive material 15 is arranged in nearby the periphery of the coat 12 to form a cathode 16, and the thin rim on the cathode surface uses a insulated material 18. A thin plate material 20; having a phosphorescent coat 22 adhering on the inner surface of the rim, and a phosphorescent or resemble type coat 24; contacts the coat for emitting fluorescence by electricity. The coat 22 acts as a lens to fiffuse and strengthen light emitted from the coat 24 for emitting fluorescence by electricity, to impart the property of incandescence lighting to the light. |
