PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shape-retaining hose for extinguishing fire in which the cross-sectional shape can always be maintained in a circle shape by the entire of a hose body, and a high water discharge amount can be secured with a low pressure loss in passing water and a high fire extinguishing capability can be exhibited, and further, an overall flexibility and lightness are superior, and the operability by one person is very good.SOLUTION: A shape-retaining hose for extinguishing fire is provided with a lining layer 5 made of a synthetic resin in the inside surface of a jacket cylindrically woven by warp 3 and weft 4 comprising synthetic fiber, and has an internal diameter of 26-28 mm. The jacket is characterized by: singly using plied yarn in which 8 to 12 pieces of specific polyester yarn are plied as the warp 3; singly using polyester monofilament yarn of 0.8 to 1.2 mm in diameter as the weft 4; having a weft woven density of 40-65 piece/10 cm, and a warp woven density of 44-65 pieces/inch; and comprising twill fabric woven so that a twill line is present in the inside surface of the jacket. |
