Fuse rupture indication circuit - has isolated signal coupler between fuse circuit and output stage providing blown condition signal

The fuse rupture indication circuit used for an overload protection fuse (102) has an isolated signal coupler (111), e.g. as optocoupler, with its primary side connected in parallel with the series circuit provided by the current source (100) and the fuse (102). The secondary side of the signal coupler is connected to an output stage providing a signal indicating the rupture of the fuse. Pref., a second current source can be used for suppplying the isolated signal coupler. ADVANTAGE - Eliminates need for warning contact in fuse.
