PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dwelling house capable of easily assuring a duct piping space, i.e., a pipe space to escape an exhaust heat from a kitchen to the outside even if a floor plan is designed by positioning the kitchen at the center of a first story floor plan. SOLUTION: This dwelling house is a dwelling house with storage story in which a storage story forming a large storage compartment is provided between a first story and a second story inside a building main body where a living room is disposed through upper and lower stories, and the story height of the storage story is formed lower than the story height of the upper and lower stories. A kitchen is disposed approximately at the center position of a living room space on the first story, and an exhaust duct from the kitchen communicates to the outside through a part of the storage story.
