PURPOSE:To securely grasp a structural unification from a key word position and improve the efficiency of translation by previously registering a fixed form pattern which appears frequently and performing key word retrieval. CONSTITUTION:The system inputs a source text from a source sentence file 8 first and divides the text into sentences on the basis of full stops, etc. For one divided sentence of the source text, the key word retrieval is performed by using a key word information table. At the time of the key word retrieval, the in-sentence position of a matching key word is stored in a memory 10 at the same time. Then when the retrieval is performed up to the final key word and all key words are matched, this sentence is marked with a fixed form pattern l. The marked sentence is segmented into parts to be translated by using a translation pattern table. The segmented blocks are translated by a translation processor 1 and the translation results are outputted to items of translations of a translation pattern table and put together into one lastly, so that the whole translation is outputted. For an unfixed form sentence, the source text is processed in the form of one sentence. |
