PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage device which uses a large-capacity and low-cost nonvolatile semiconductor memory without losing reliability.
SOLUTION: When data transmitted from a host H is written, the page address control unit of a controller 2 refers to a block management table to check which of a binary value or a multi-value a writing block becomes, and to perform address control. Then, the write/read/erase control unit of the controller 2 refers to a selected bit value set by an MPU to write data in a selected optional block. After the end of data writing, the MPU rewrites the number of times managing table of the block management table. In this case, when the number of rewriting times of the number of times managing table becomes equal to or more than an optional set value, the binary/multi-value table is updated to be used as the binary value from the multi-value.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
