PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that when pressing a glass wool with skin, the glass wool does not sufficiently follow the surface of a mold cavity in the corner part thereof due to pulling by the skin to gap.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for production of an insulator 1 with skin 6 formed by press molding of a glass wool 5. The method is characterized by setting a terrace part 7 on the surface of a mold cavity corresponding to the shield area 2 of a desired position to forcibly contact the skin 6 with the cavity surface of the other side. Plural circular craters are provided on the surface of the side opposite to the face with the skin 6 of the glass wool.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
