PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling controller and a rolling control method capable of suppressing meandering and camber at the tip of a rolling material without being influenced by a temperature difference in the width direction of the rolling material, a deformation resistance difference in the width direction of the rolling material, a deviation of the rolling material from the center of a rolling machine, or the like.SOLUTION: After an i-th rolling stand 210 bites into the tip of a rolling material 400, a first rolling load difference between the driving side and the working side before a looper 220 rises is measured to measure a second rolling load difference between the driving side and the working side after the looper 220 rises. A rolling controller 300 determines the draft levelling amount in each of the driving side and the working side of the i-th rolling stand so as to suppress a moment and an angular velocity generated in the rolling material 400 on the basis of an amount of change of a rolling load difference that is a difference between the first rolling load difference and the second rolling load difference.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
