PURPOSE:To obtain aseptic soft water without requiring maintainance for aseptic treatment by using a softening device to soften water with using ion exchange resin and an activated carbon adsorption tower to remove org. matters in water. CONSTITUTION:A Na-type cation exchange resin with high crosslinking rate is used as the ion exchange resin 2A in a softening device 2. This softening device 2 is provided in the upstreamside of the activated carbon adsorption tower 4. The surface of activated carbon in the adsorption tower 4 is made antimicrobial.
