PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agent for inducing apoptosis of a cancer cell, a metastasis inhibitor of the cancer cell, an anticancer agent, a food preparation, an anti-HIV agent and a food preparation having anti-HIV activities.

SOLUTION: The agent for inducing the apoptosis of the cancer cell contains vegetable tallow and/or an extract thereof as an active ingredient. The anticancer agent and the food preparation contain the agent for inducing the apoptosis of the cancer cell as an active ingredient. The metastasis inhibitor of the cancer cell contains the vegetable tallow and/or the extract thereof as an active ingredient. The anticancer agent and the food preparation contain the metastasis inhibitor of the cancer cell as an active ingredient. The anti-HIV agent contains the vegetable tallow and/or the extract thereof as an active ingredient. The food preparation having the anti-HIV activities contains the vegetable tallow and/or the extract thereof as an active ingredient.
