PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rain guard for a car useful in getting in or out the car when raining. SOLUTION: This rain guard 1 is attached at an upper part of a door along the side of an intra-cabin roof R by assembling a visor 2 foldable only in one direction by fixing by tape hinging two panels made of pale transparent resin plates and the visor 2, a holder 3, and a mounting bracket 4. The holder 3 and mounting bracket 4 are coupled together rotatably while clamping an elastically deformable metal plate. The visor 2 is retained in the accommodation position over along the roof R by fitting a ridge 28 formed on the metal plate in a groove of the holder 3 to restrict the rotation of holder 3. To use the visor 2 in the rain guard position overhung sideways to outside the car or the sun visor position down along the door window, the holder 3 is rotated by removing the groove from the ridge while elastically deforming the metal plate, and the holder 3 is restricted in rotation and held in place by the increased friction resistance of the rotation contacting surfaces.
