<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolytic solution for a lithium secondary battery and the lithium secondary battery, wherein there is no reduction in battery characteristics such as capacity and a service life at room temperature, and which are superior in storage characteristics at high temperatures both in a charged state and a discharged state. <P>SOLUTION: The electrolytic solution for the lithium secondary battery contains: a lithium salt; a nonaqueous organic solvent; and an additive to contain fluoroethylene carbonate, vinyl-containing carbonate, substituted or unsubstituted C2 to C10 cyclic sulfate ester (cyclic sulfate), and a nitrile-based compound expressed by chemical formula 1.
