The invention relates to a deviation element for coins that is to be used in a coin counting and/or coin sorting device. To prevent the impact stress that occurs in a deviation element known in prior art and configured as a deviation roller or an impact ball bearing and in addition the abrasive wear and noise, the deviation element (10) is configured from an elastic material and is mounted in a fixed manner.
