The mechanism is for a power-driven clipper, having a double eccentric engaging in openings in the two blades via slip-rings. Each slip-ring (23,26) has an integral flange (24,27), extending over the respective blade (12,13) and away from the eccentric disc (16,17). The rings can rotate on their discs, and they can fit over the blade openings on the outside, while they can be held on their discs by circlips (25,28). The eccentric can have two dogs extending in the axial direction and fitting in mating holes in the driving sleeve. USE/ADVANTAGE - Double-bladed hedge-clipper drive mechanism is simple, with low rate of wear, and the blades and eccentric can be replaced as a complete assembly.
