The invention relates to a method for operating a heat-steam internal combustion engine and to a device for carrying out said method, to the fuel and energy and transport industries and can be used in internal combustion engines. The inventive method for operating a heat-steam internal combustion engine consists in forming a system for feeding the engine (1) with a second working medium in the form of water or aqueous solutions or emulsions (4) and in injecting the second working medium charge into a combustion chamber (2), either during volume expansion generated by a fuel-air mixture burned at a pressure greater than the pressure in the combustion chamber or simultaneously with the feeding of a first working medium. The inventive heat-steam internal combustion engine comprises an independent tank (3) for the second working medium (4) and, either a self-injecting nozzle (5), which is fixed to a cylinder head (6) and is connected to the container by means of a pipeline (7), or existing nozzles provided with auxiliary devices thereof. The invention makes it possible to reduce the emission of toxic waste and greenhouse gases to the atmosphere, to decrease the fuel consumption of the engine and to increase the power and the heat efficiency thereof. |
