PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector housing capable of preventing the damage of a lance when a half-inserted terminal fitting is present.SOLUTION: A front retainer 30 comprises: a displacement restriction part 33 which is inserted into a deflection space 26 from the front when a terminal fitting 10 is normally inserted, thereby restricting displacement into the unlocking direction of a lance 23: and a detection part 35 which detects if the terminal fitting 10 is half-inserted. The lance 23 has, at its front end, an inclined surface 25 on which the displacement restriction part 33 slides when it is inserted into the deflection space 26 if the terminal fitting 10 is half-inserted. The detection part 35 is formed integrally with the displacement restriction part 33 so that it is housed in a housing space 27 provided in a terminal housing part 20 when the terminal fitting 10 is normally inserted. When the terminal fitting 10 is half-inserted, the detection part 35 is inclined together with the displacement restriction part 33 inclining as it slides on the inclined surface 25 so that it comes into contact with a wall surface of the terminal housing part 20, thereby impeding the fitting motion of the front retainer 30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10 |
