PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a hollow stabilizer capable of forming a bending part of a steel pipe which is to be a raw material of the hollow stabilizer so as to have excellent quenching hardness.SOLUTION: There is provided a manufacturing method of a tubular hollow stabilizer 1 provided in a vehicle and comprising a torsion part 1a extending in a vehicle width direction, arm parts 1b and 1b extending in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle, and bending parts 1c and 1c for connecting the torsion part 1a and the arm part 1b. The method includes: a molding process for performing molding in a product shape having the bending parts 1c and 1c by applying bending work to an element pipe 1S which is to be a raw material of a hollow stabilizer; and a quenching process for applying quenching to the element pipe 1S to which the bending work is applied. In the quenching process, cooling processing is executed by soaking the element pipe 1S in a coolant and injecting the coolant into an outer surface 1e of the bending part 1c.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
