摘要 PURPOSE:To enable accurate measurement of flow velocity by a method wherein a time lag on measured value of the flow velocity is avoided by providing a heating element in the vicinity of a throttle valve, and an even distribution of flow velocity of suction air in the heating element is kept unchanged. CONSTITUTION:A heating element 6 is provided upstream the vicinity of a throttle valve 7, and the heating element 6 consists of a cylinder unit 4 having a through hole and heating element 3 stretched within the through hole of the cylinder unit 4. When an engine is actuated suction air hit against a wall 9 is spurted out radiusward to the outside of the cylinder unit 4 and led to the throttle valve 7 after it has been mixed with the suction air passing outside the cylinder unit 4. As this system is provided with the wall 9 heating element 3 is not affected with an air turbulence generated within a suction air through the throttle valve 7 and a ratio between suction air flows for both outside and inside of the cylinder unit 4 is kept at fixed value.
