<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for rendering multiple viewpoint images in various sorts of multiple viewpoint displays. <P>SOLUTION: Image data corresponding to different viewpoints are stored in different virtual buffers, the image data stored in the virtual buffers are processed, the image data are blended, and then the blended image data are stored in a physical frame buffer. Then, the blended image data are transferred to a multiple viewpoint display such as an autostereoscopic display.
