PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a speaker unit and a speaker apparatus enabling sound output of high quality by increasing the strength of a voice coil bobbin with a simple structure. SOLUTION: The speake unit includes: a twin straight gap magnetic circuit 40 with a magnetic gap g2, g3 in slit form formed thereon; a frame 34 for storing and holding the magnetic circuit; a diaphragm 31 attached to the frame 34 via edges 41A and 41B; a flat-type voice coil drive 49 disposed so as to pass through the almost center of the magnetic gap g2, g3, in that its one end is combined with the diaphragm 31, a track-type planar voice coil 52 is bonded to its surface, and a concave part 61 and a convex part 62 for improving the strength of the diaphragm 31 in the vibrating direction are formed on the surface; and a rolled damper 35 attached to the frame 34 to support the other end of the flat-type voice coil drive.
