<p>An aggregate dryer for asphalt plant capable of reducing the length of a rotating drum and the required installation area for the dryer so as to save energy without lowering the dryness of aggregate, wherein the rotating drum formed by connecting a drum for regenerated aggregate in series with a drum for new aggregate is supported rotatably on a supporting stand through rollers, the ratio (L/D) of a length (L) to a diameter (D) of each drum is set in the range of 1.5 to 2.5 and a plurality of flights are installed circumferentially and axially in each drum, flight members installed on the downstream side of the flights in the direction of transfer of the aggregate are inclined in the direction where the aggregate is pushed back, and a slit longer in longitudinal direction of the flight members is provided in the side part of each flight member, whereby the dropping film of the aggregate picked up by each flight member and fallen down becomes nonuniform, and the contact of the aggregate with hot air is made satisfactorily.</p> |
