PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism to reliably execute a document reading and transmission job, even when a plurality of users use an image processing apparatus in common, irrespective of the state of use of the image processing apparatus by another user.SOLUTION: There is provided an image processing apparatus that reads a document with reading means to create image data. The image processing apparatus receives a document reading and transmission job for causing the reading means to read the document from an information processing apparatus communicable via a network, to create image data, and to transmit the image data to a designated destination; when receiving the document reading and transmission job, determines whether or not authentication information on a user of the information processing apparatus matches with authentication information on a user of the image processing apparatus; when determining that the users match with each other, displays a setting screen for accepting setting related to execution of the document reading and transmission job; and executes the document reading and transmission job according to an instruction received through the setting screen.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
