This direct-current commutator motor (10) is provided with: a stator portion (20) having a magnet (23); a rotor portion (30) which is provided with freedom to rotate within the stator portion (20), and which has a coil (33) which generates a magnetic field by being energized; a commutator (34) which has on an outer peripheral surface thereof a plurality of terminal portions provided spaced apart in the circumferential direction, and which achieves energization of the coil (33) by being rotated together with the rotor portion (30); brushes (26A) which are pressed against and come into contact with the commutator (34), are supported by the stator portion (20), and rotate relative to the commutator (34); and pigtails (29) which are provided on the brushes (26A) and which transmit an electric current supplied from the outside to the brushes (26A). Through-holes (51) extending in the direction in which an axis of rotation (31) of the rotor portion (30) extends are formed in the brushes (26A). |
