A screening tube (1) having a stored state and a deployed state. The tube (1) is self supporting when in the deployed state and is collapsible from the deployed state to the stored state. The tube (1) comprises a flexible tubular sheet (15) that defines a screened space within the bore of the tube (1). The tube (1) may comprise walls. The screening tube (1) may be provided with a coil (13) to support the walls (15) of the tube when the tube (1) is in the deployed state.
