PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric kettle capable of automatically and user-friendly brewing coffee suited to the preference of a user and stabilizing the hot water discharge amount for brewing. SOLUTION: This electric kettle includes a kettle container 1, a heating means 2, a hot water dispensing means 4, a hot water dispensing switch 5, a control means 6 controlling the hot water dispensing means 4 and the heating means 2, a water amount detection means 10, a storage means 7 storing the operation of the hot water dispensing switch 5 by the user, and a brewing switch 8 starting the dispensing of the hot water for coffee brewing; and the control means 6 determines a hot water operation pattern based on the operation of the hot water dispensing switch 7 stored in advance in the storage means 7, automatically operates the hot water dispensing means 4 as the hot water discharge operation pattern, and corrects a time of the hot water dispensing operation pattern based on the water amount by the water amount detection means 10. Thereby, this electric pot can automatically and user-friendly brew coffee suited to the preference of the user and stabilize the hot water dispensing amount for the coffee brewing.
