PURPOSE: A paper money identifier is provided to identify the genuineness of paper money more correctly regardless of the kind of the paper money as counterfeit paper is circulating CONSTITUTION: A step motor is installed with a porter interrupt to generate and output encoder pulse. A driving sensor receives signals to operate the motor. Apart from the driving motor, a sensor counts the pulse of the encoder when a paper money is recognized. A magnetic sensor senses the part of the paper money printed with ink containing iron elements. And several infrared ray sensors located in parallel with the magnetic sensor beam infrared rays to identify the property of the paper money. The reflected rays are checked by a light phase sensor. Then, an amplifier measures the size of the paper money and the distance between parts of the paper money, according to the number of the pulse input from the step motor, and amplifies signals input from the sensor. Finally, a main producer unit determines the genuineness of the paper money.
