PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image control device capable of enhancing the functions of an applicable apparatus and reducing electricity consumption thereof by quickening a response of a CPU(central processing unit) to a memory access request at any position (time) during an image displaying period, and to provide a controlling method therefor and a digital camera. SOLUTION: In this digital camera 10, an image memory 14, a bus mediating part 18, a display sequencer 20, and a timing adjusting part 12, within an image controlling/processing part 10h, are controlled by a memory control part 16. Image data from the image memory 14 are written into a data correction part 30. With respect to the image data read by the sequencer 20, sampling order is adjusted and packet size is changed according to the combined conditions of brightness and color of the image data. The mediating part 18 supplies the image data while mediating access requests according to the order of precedence, thereby reducing the pulse duty factor of a common bus 32. The correction part 30 performs data restoring and processing based on the supplied data, and supplies the image data to a buffer memory part 12b of the adjusting part 12.
