PURPOSE:To increase a degree of freedom for mounting by enabling a side wall to relatively rotate along a welding margin before welding so as to facilitate changing a position of at least one of inflow and outflow pipes, in an oil tank in which at least one of the inflow and outflow pipes of oil is provided in the side wall. CONSTITUTION:In an oil tank 1 for a hydraulic power steering device, oil inflow and outflow pipes 7, 8 are integrally provided respectively in a side wall 2 and a bottom wall 3, of a tank main unit 6, and an oil filler port 5, with a cap 12 mounted on the top, is formed in an upper cover 4 of the tank main unit 6. In the tank main unit 6 made of thermoplastic synthetic resin, the side wall 2, bottom wall 3 and the upper cover 4 are integrally formed by vibration welding. Here is formed a circular annular melting margin 2a in a bottom end of the side wall 2, and also the first, second circular annular protrusive parts 3b, 3c are formed in an upper surface of the bottom wall 3, to provide a circular annular peripheral groove 3a in a part between both the protrusive parts 3b, 3c. The bottom wall 3 and the side wall 2 are relatively rotated along the welding margin 2a and the peripheral groove 3a, so that a position can be changed. |
