A vaporizing system for a soldering unit comprises a vaporizing region (120) with a heat transfer medium, a pre-heater (110) for raising the heat transfer medium to a temperature not above a given maximum and a fluid connection (130) to lead fluid from the pre-heat region to the vaporizing region. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a soldering unit as above; (B) and operating processes for the soldering unit and the vaporizing system.
