PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transfer apparatus capable of easily accessing such as register setup from a master chip to a plurality of slave chips. SOLUTION: A master chip and a plurality of slave chips are connected in a ring shape, so that serial data from the master chip are transferred sequentially through a ring to the plurality of slave chips and returned to the master chip again. The ring is divided into a basic ring and an extension ring, and serial data are also transferred to the slave chips connected to the extension ring.
