ENDOSCOPIC SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscopic system capable of shortening the time required for observation compared to a conventional case. SOLUTION: The endoscopic system comprises: an endoscope for imaging an object; a medical image processor for acquiring endoscopic images corresponding to the image of the object; at least one or more extension control parts which can be connected to the medical image processor and turns a prescribed function relating to the endoscope and the medical image processor to a usable state; a connection information storage part provided in each extension control part, wherein connection detection information each different corresponding to the kind of the extension control part is stored; and a main control part for discriminating the kind of the extension control part connected to the medical image processor on the basis of the connection detection information stored in each connection information storage part and making a display part output the image or information relating to the prescribed function corresponding to the discriminated result.
