PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain the temperature rise of an original glass by setting the intensity of light radiated from an illuminator and the gain of an amplifier in accordance with copying magnification set by an input device. SOLUTION: Copying magnification, the number of copies, and a copying mode or the input waiting state of copying start by a copying button are set from a control panel 90. Whether or not the set magnification is larger than 100% is judges when the copying magnification is set. Namely, in the case of judging that the set magnification exceeds 100%, the quantity control of the light radiated from a halogen lamp 32 and the gain of an amplifier circuit part 112 are set. On a copying condition that the temperature of a part of the original glass happens to extremely rise, the quantity of the light radiated from the lamp 32 is lowered and the gain of the amplifier circuit part 112 amplifying an output signal from a CCD sensor 46 is increased, whereby the temperature rise of the original glass is restrained. |
