PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide guide apparatus to prevent uneven contact of a sliding face so as to control elevation of a ram in a high precision, in a press machine. SOLUTION: Spherical shoes 7, 9 which are fitted into recessed parts of a slide 2 of the press machine and are formed with flat guide faces, and gibs 5, 6, which are arranged facing the flat guide faces and at a flame 1 side of the press machine, are arranged, the slide is guided by the spherical shores and the gibs.
