PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic core which has such a constitution that is significantly improved in DC superimposing characteristic, is enhanced in miniaturization, resource conservation, and energy conservation, and is improved in industrial property and economic efficiency by easily realizing the automation of winding work, and to provide a coil component. SOLUTION: The magnetic core 1 which forms a closed magnetic circuit has a gap 3 and is composed of a soft magnetic material. The spacing W1 of the gap 3 on the inner ring side of the magnetic core is larger than the spacing W2 of the gap 3 on the outer ring side of the core (W1 >W2 ).
