PURPOSE:To allow a roller body to uniformly press-contact with an image carrier in the longitudinal direction thereof by movably coupling the center of the shaft of the roller body with the center of a 2nd helical gear which meshes with a 1st helical gear provided in the image carrier and rotating together with the image carrier and which transmits driving between the image carrier and the roller body. CONSTITUTION:When a photosensitive drum 3 rotates, the 1st helical gear 2 is rotated to transmit power to the 2nd helical gear 7, and a transfer roller 6 is rotated through an Oldham's coupling 8. The transfer roller 6 is rotatably supported in a state where both right and left ends of a roller shaft 9 are respectively received by bearings 10. Then, the bearings 10 are respectively fitted in guiding grooves which are provided on the side plates of a device main body and face toward the drum 3, so that they can slide and move along the guiding grooves toward the drum 3. The transfer roller 6 is always stably maintained in a state where the roller 6 between the right and left ends is uniformly pressured and contacts with the surface of the drum 3 with specified pressure by right and left pressure means 11. Thus, the roller body is set so that the respective parts in the longitudinal direction may be nearly uniformly pressured and contact with the surface of the image carrier. |
