PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant resin composition which excels in flame retardance and, simultaneously, is in no danger of generating injurious compounds to the human body on combustion and incineration and, in addition, does not leave the ash content after incineration, and a flame-retardant film which is composed of the flame-retardant resin composition and excels in handling properties and can suitably be used at the site of handling a radioactive substance. SOLUTION: The flame-retardant resin composition comprises 100 pts.wt. polyolefin based resin, 10-100 pts.wt. melamine cyanurate, and 5-50 pts.wt. polyamide based resin.
