PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable user's utilization of a wheelchair with reliability on a moving sidewalk, or the like, by enabling stably fixing of the wheelchair to a floor surface. SOLUTION: This non-slipping device for the wheelchair comprises a pair of right and left frictional plates 7 mounted rockably in a longitudinal direction via parallel links 5 and 6 to a base pipe 4 of the wheelchair 1, an interlocking means constituted between both the plates 7 capable of rocking the plates 7 by interlocking the plates 7, a control lever 21 for rocking both the plates 7 in a downward direction by depressing backward of the wheelchair 1 by a helper's foot, a locking means for locking both the plates 7 to the rocking position lower than the lower end of wheels 18, a releasing lever 23 for releasing locking of the locking means by depressing by the helper's foot rear of the wheelchair 1, and an urging means for drawing up both the plates 7 to a rocking position higher than the lower end of the wheels 18 when the locking by the lever 23 is released.
