<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position adjusting mechanism capable of controlling deviation of a roller from a counter member arranged opposite to the roller within a prescribed extent with a simple constitution; and to provide a process cartridge equipped with the mechanism; and to provide an image forming apparatus equipped with the mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: The position adjusting mechanism is arranged across a holding part 34 which rotatably holds a photoreceptor drum and a counter holding part 36 which rotatably holds a developing roller arranged opposite to the photoreceptor drum. A rotational supporting structure which supports the counter holding part 36 so that it can rotate related to the holding part 34 is arranged at an end on one side of the photoreceptor drum in the longitudinal direction.
