<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate insertion of a card type recording medium and to prevent fall of the card type recording medium in ejection. <P>SOLUTION: A cover 30 which opens/closes a slot 17a is freely rotatably attached to a shaft 26 attached to a front panel 7. The cover 30 is constituted of an exterior plate 31 and a guide plate 32. The cover 30 is biased to an open position by a plate spring 35 when it is rotated to the open position. When a memory card 5 is loaded on a receiving surface 32a and moved backward, the memory card 5 moves with the width direction guided by the respective width guide projected parts 32b, 32c, and inserted into the slot 17a. The cover 30 is biased to a closed position by the plate spring 35 when it is rotated to the closed position.
